Ckids Nursery Pre-school ( 6 wks to 5 yrs ) & Ckids Elementary ( K – 5th )
At Celebration, we believe in the importance of ministering to the needs of even our littlest members. While the main sanctuary experience is designed for adults, our state of the art Nursery, Preschool and Elementary spaces (available during all of our weekend services) have been carefully created with your children in mind. Our hope is that, no matter their age, your children will learn to LOVE GOD, HELP OTHERS, DO THEIR BEST, HAVE FUN!
Thank you for letting us partner with you as your children walk through the different areas of our Celebration Kids (cKids) ministry.
We provide relevant, age-appropriate curriculum to our cKids. Our nursery/pre-school curriculum is based on the One Hope and YouVersion’s Storybook Bible. Engagement, quality, and ease-of-use are at the heart of this curriculum, created to work in tandem with the Bible App for Kids (which you can download and use with your kids at home!). Our cKids Elementary curriculum is fun, engaging, and biblically based to ensure that your child will learn how to be a God-first kid as they have fun and build community with others who are their age.
Here at cKids, we understand that the step from pre-school to kindergarten can be scary. We do our best to make this transition easy for your family by celebrating this milestone and preparing your child for this special promotion.
Our cKids environments are meant to prepare kids to be a part of our youth ministry called The Riot. Children will be promoted to The Riot once they enter 6th grade. Our goal is to help prepare your family for this exciting milestone.
Every child can have a personal relationship with Jesus, and we will help our cKids learn how they can ask Jesus into their hearts and begin living a life for Him. In cKids we love to help kids discover who Jesus is and how much he loves them in creative, fun, age appropriate environments.
Baptism is an outward declaration of an inward commitment to following Jesus and putting God first. It is such an important, exciting and memorable step in the life of a follower of Jesus. We want to share and celebrate this moment with you and your child! You as a parent or guardian can decide when your child is ready for water baptism. They may be ready when they can clearly describe what salvation is and understand that accepting Christ means that they are receiving His lasting salvation. They should also be able to understand and explain what water baptism is and why they want to get water baptized.
In cKids, your children will learn the importance of serving and what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need around us. During their time in cKids, your children will have the opportunity to learn how to serve and participate in local outreaches.
We are so grateful that you trust us with caring for your little ones. Our safe, secure, and comfortable environments have been designed so that, no matter their age, your child will have fun, engage with and receive the word of God. Visit the check-in desk to take a tour, meet our teachers and introduce your child. If you wish to attend service with your child, we offer a Family Lounge just for you. We also have a Nursing Mothers Room available in the Nursery/Preschool area with comfortable chairs and a live-feed of the service.
Are you interested in serving in cKids? We would love to talk with you and help you find out more about our ministry and how you can get involved. If you are interested in serving, you can attend one of the upcoming cKids Vision Nights; You can also visit our Serving Teams Page to find out more about your next steps.
The Storybook Bible.
Our nursery/preschool curriculum is based on the One Hope and YouVersion’s Storybook Bible. Engagement, quality, and ease-of-use are at the heart of this curriculum, created to work in tandem with the Bible App for Kids.
As imaginative as your preschoolers’ favorite TV shows, these lessons point them to JESUS. Early childhood education research shows that preschoolers learn best through repetition, so each monthly series will feature one Bible story that children ages 2-5 will learn through interactive discussions and activities.
We will also be taking age-appropriate elements of the curriculum to engage one-year-old children as well. Throughout the week, you can reinforce at home what your preschooler/s are learning at church utilizing the Storybook Bible and/or the Bible App for Kids.
Purchase a copy of the Storybook Bible: now on sale in the LOFT and online.
Get the Nursery/Preschool worship album from One Hope here.
The Family Lounge allows you to sit comfortably with your children and watch a live feed of the service in an environment suited for both you and your little ones. While our nursery, preschool, and elementary environments are specifically designed so that your children can be discipled and learn about God and the Bible in a way that is relevant to their stage of learning, we understand that there are times when the whole family just might want to be together and attend church, and the Family Lounge is the perfect place to do just that.
As a church, we are so excited to share in the celebration of this special milestone for you and your family. We believe that dedicating your child(ren) before the Lord is an outward expression of an inner commitment to raise your child(ren) in a godly way. Our Baby Dedication Service is intended to help commemorate this special day, and allows us the opportunity to pray for you and your family.
Baby Dedications happen at the Midtown location at 10:00am and 2:00pm on the following date. A light reception for you and your family will be provided.
Saturday, May 12th 2018
For more information on how to dedicate your child email firstname.lastname@example.org
Dedicating a child acknowledges God’s sovereignty, not only over the child but, also over their Mom and Dad and/or guardians. It is the expression of a parent’s hopes and prayers that their child will grow up to make their own decision to live a God-first life. During a baby dedication service parents present their child before God and His people asking for grace and wisdom in carrying out those responsibilities. Parents also commit to pray and believe that their child will one day trust Jesus Christ as their personal Savior for the forgiveness of sin.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:5-7 (NIV)
In the Bible we see that Jesus’ parents dedicated Him to the Lord.
“When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord…. When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.” Luke 2:22, 39-40.
This celebration is intended to be a commitment between the parents and God on the behalf of the child. The parents commit to raise their child in the faith until the child is old enough to make his or her own personal confession of Christ.
Our Celebration Kids ministry is here to serve your K-5th grade students. During our weekend services, kids get to experience their very own service with worship, a message, and breakout groups in a safe, friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. Our leaders serve to ensure your kids encounter God, have fun, and feel loved. Celebration Kids ministry is available at all of our locations, every Sunday.
cKids Inclusion Ministry is an extension of Ckids and exists to be a ministry that supports children who might need a little extra help as they attend a Ckids service experience. CKids Inclusion is composed of “Buddies” (Volunteers) who attend the Ckids service with your child so that he/she can participate in worship and engage in the Bible lesson once it is determined that cKids Inclusion is a great fit for your child.
Next, the cKids Inclusion Coordinator will begin to build a team of Side Kicks for your child. Once the team is established, we will begin to build a schedule that will work for you and your family. One student is matched with one or more volunteers, and will communicate to their volunteer each week they plan on attending church. In order to ensure an excellent experience, parents or guardians are invited to apply for the cKids Inclusion prior to arriving at a service.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The safety and security of your children are our top priority. Our check-in and pick-up process is simple yet efficient. Our goal is for you to enjoy service, knowing your kids are secure, while having a great time.
We are so glad that you will be joining us this weekend. Here are a few things that will help you get ready for your ckids experience.
WHAT TO BRING
* We are a peanut free environment. Cheerios are provided for children ages 1 - 5 years old.
*For Infants through 1 yr. please prepare all bottles before dropping children off. We want to make sure your little one gets everything they need & having their bottles prepared for them ahead of time ensures this.
*Label all items that are important to you. We have the honor of serving many children & in order to make sure everyone’s items are returned to them we ask that all parents label the items they send with their children.
Each time you check your child in you will be asked to show your tag as well as your child’s tag to a security team member.
To help expedite the process, it is suggested that each family place their stickers on BEFORE going through the doors. Security is placed there to ensure the safety of each child. No one will be admitted into any of our ckids areas without a security sticker.
Parents can check in all children at any of our check-in stations regardless of their age.
Just go to one of our check in stations on either the nursery and preschool side or the elementary side and one of our check in leaders will help you navigate our Check In screens.
If it’s your first time we have a special place for you to check your child in and receive a guided tour for your entire family to see where your child will be while your in service.
We have a professional and loving Nursery and Preschool staff dedicated to ensuring a great experience for each child who comes through our doors.
