Groups have one simple purpose: to bring people together. We believe God designed us to live in community with others in order to live the full life He intended for us. Meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. That is why small groups exist—to make these life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to you.
“Being a military wife, it is hard to find strong Christian friendships because we move so often. In my sisterhood small group, I connected with women who were not trying to be perfect, but women who loved God and wanted to serve Him.”
“I joined a men’s small group and it allowed me to connect with guys who have been in similar situations as me. We were able to encourage one another to grow in our passion for God and his church. As soon as I joined the men’s small group, God began opening other doors for me. I went from attending a small group to leading one of my own and serving on a serving team to leading a serving team.”
Men’s Ministry Group
“Due to our busy work schedules, we decided to lead a marriage group at a time that we can commit to. We started a group for younger married couples and would go out to dinner, or to each other’s homes. We love being able to celebrate things together and be there for one another.”
Ben and Becky
“I joined a Freedom Group and met amazing men and women who helped me get to a place of truly receiving the perfect, unconditional, healing, restoring love of our Father.”

LEAD A SMALL GROUP
Leading a small group isn’t about being perfect; it’s about serving others by giving them a place to connect. Hosting a group is simple—choose a topic that interests you and select a time and location to meet with others to share it. We give you essential tools to make your small group successful through Leadership Training and a Group Finder where you can register your group so others can find it easily. We believe people’s lives are changed one semester at a time by moving one step toward Christ, and as a small group leader you get to play an important role in that process.
Leadership Development Series
This series gives you training and materials to help you move one step as a leader and make your group a great success. Materials are available to leaders 24/7 and will be updated continually, so be sure to check back often!
Help your group move one step closer to Christ during the semester.
Recommend A Curriculum
We have a great library of Small Group content for leaders to choose from each semester.
Our goal is for every small group leader to have a Coach who will provide spiritual covering, produce leaders, and promote growth.
You’ve probably seen small groups meeting and not even realized it. A small group looks like friends at lunch, teams playing basketball, or people studying a book or topic of interest. At its core, a small group is a small gathering of people, and it is less about what you do and more about who you do it with. By participating in small groups, you can expect to connect with others through a common activity, engage in life giving conversation and request prayer.
Our small groups meet for three semesters a year: winter, spring, summer and fall, and typically meet on a once a week basis.
Small groups happen throughout the city of Jacksonville and the surrounding areas. Some groups meet in homes, coffee shops, restaurants, on the basketball court, or at one of our Celebration Church locations.
Most small groups meet for a semester. The winter, spring and fall semesters meet for 13 weeks and the summer semesters meet for 6 weeks.
Childcare varies from group to group. When you search our Group Finder for a group, each group will indicate if childcare is available within the group description.
The truth is, not everyone will find the best fit with the first group they try. This is why we encourage you to select a few groups that interest you, contact the leaders and try out a couple different groups before choosing the best one for you. The simple strategy to finding success in small groups is to not give up. We believe there is a group that is right for everyone—including you!
